I’m so excited to share some of my favorite Tulum cafes with you. While Tulum is known for its vibrant party scene, I also believe Tulum is what you make of it. My time in Tulum has always been more laid-back, exploring the local Tulum food and cafe scene. Below are some of my top recommendations for the best Tulum cafes.

Tulum Cafes

Me Latte Cafe
I loved this cafe, situated in La Veleta neighborhood. It’s part outdoor, part indoor and a great spot if you’re looking to have a coffee or a sit down breakfast. If you’re looking for a cafe to set up and work, the indoor area is great as long as you don’t mind some of noise from the cafe.

The iced oat milk vanilla latte at Me Latte was probably the best coffee I had in Tulum. If you’re looking for a Tulum cafe with great coffee and food, check out Me Latte.

Holistika Tulum
This is probably one of my favorite cafes in Tulum. It’s situated outdoors with two separate seating areas. Look at that swing set!

The whole atmosphere at Holistika Tulum Hotel is definitely one to check out during your time in Tulum. If you’re looking for a cafe with a Tulum vibe, make sure to visit Holistika Tulum cafe.

Ma Cherie Cafe
A French cafe situated in La Veleta neighborhood, this is definitely a cafe you’ll want to check out in Tulum. The fresh juices are amazing. We tried both a green juice and beet juice and both were so good. If you’re looking to work on your laptop, I’d suggest the front section as they have tables there to set up.

There is also a great outdoor seating area in the back of the cafe. Definitely check out Ma Cherie for coffee, juice, or breakfast options.

Alfonsina Cafe
Located in Tulum town, Alfonsina is another solid Tulum cafe with 3 separate seating sections. If you’re looking to get work done, I’d suggest the seating area in the back section.

Alfonsina has the best crossaints! It had a slight sweetness to it and perfect for an afternoon snack. Alfonsina also offers a wide selection of food to choose from as well.

Cara Feliz Cafe
This was a cute cafe located in Tulum town. Cara Feliz also has 3 separate seating areas – the front indoor section, outdoors, and a small indoor room in the middle surrounded by books. Cara Feliz was definitely the most unique cafe of the ones listed here.

If you’re looking for a cafe to get some work done, I’d highly recommend the “book” room in Cara Feliz. They also offer breakfast, light lunch, coffee, smoothies and juices. The green freshly squeezed juice was so good. In the afternoon they have a full bar. They also sell and buy used books!

Nimeno Cafe
Another French bakery located in la Veleta, Nimeno is more of a sit down cafe if you’re looking to have breakfast or lunch. It’s a modern yet minimalist cafe. The coffee and fresh pastries are great if you’re looking for something to grab and go. Try the mini almond croissants!

Ganesha’s Lounge
Lastly, if you’re interested in something more bohemian, check out Ganesha’s Lounge. It’s not a cafe per say, but they offer coffee, chai, golden milk, cacao, and diverse teams. Ganesha’s Lounge is located in La Veleta neighborhood. I tried their chai elixir tea with honey and it was so good. The whole vibe makes you feel like you have no worries. Check out Ganesha’s Lounge if you’re looking for a different cafe vibe.

These are my top favorite Tulum cafes. If I had to pick my top 3 from this list I would choose Cara Feliz, Holistika, and Alfonsina. You can’t go wrong with any of these cafes on this list though. Happy cafe hopping in Tulum!
