We Well Center

We Well Center

I loved this place. Situated on a hill in Principe Real, it’s a great spot to relax away from the crowds. It’s bright, welcoming and quiet which is a perfect combination to enjoy a coffee, order some breakfast or lunch, or get some work done. I ordered the Well Well Bowl with a coffee and it was so good.

Marquise Cafe

Marquise

A rustic yet trendy cafe in the Principe Real section of Lisbon. There are a few seats when you first walk in, as well as a hidden garden/patio section in the back. It gets busier during lunch in the back area, so if you’re looking to have a coffee or set up to get some work done, it’s best to snag a seat in the front section or go in the morning or after lunch hours when it’s more quiet.

Copenhagen coffee

Copenhagen Coffee Lab

A Danish-owned coffee chain, Copenhagen Coffee Lab has around 10 locations in Lisbon. When I first stumbled upon Copenhagen Coffee lab in their Alfama location in Lisbon, I was expecting a small cafe. Most cafes in Alfama are on the smaller side. I was surprised when I walked in and saw this massive cafe when you go downstairs and see a lot of seating area. Either location you choose to visit however, you’ll be sure to have a great cup of coffee as everything is roasted.onsite. You’ll find a variety of coffee, tea, as well as breakfast and lunch options on their menu.

Dramatico

Dramatico Cafe

Dramatico

The cutest little cafe in Lisbon. Dramatico is as low a key of a spot as they come. I almost missed it as there is only a small sign outside reading, “Coffee”. They don’t offer WIFI but it’s definitely a cafe worth visiting for their excellent coffee and relaxing environment. Bring a book, write in a journal, or simply enjoy the atmosphere in this beautiful cafe. Don’t forget to also try their homemade chocolate chip cookie or other pastries.

Tease

Tease

Known as the cafe where Lisbonites get their cupcake fix, Tease is a bright and spacious cafe with a variety of options for breakfast and lunch. There is also plenty of seating area to set up with your laptop, order a coffee or lunch. My favorite is the Mediterranean salad. Probably one of the best salads I had during my time in Lisbon.

best cafes in Lisbon
Fabrica de Nata, upstairs seating area

Fabrica de Nata

While this place may not come to mind as a ‘cafe’ per se as it’s more of a bakery, with delicious pastel de natas might I add, make your way up the stairs and you will find a spacious and beautiful seating area with a balcony overlooking Lisbon’s streets. What can be better than a delicious pastel de nata, a beautiful cafe, with a balcony overlooking Lisbon?

View at Cafe de Garagem

Cafe da Garagem

Truly a hidden gem and difficult to find, this is one of my top recommendations for Lisbon’s best cafes. Make your way to Cafe da Garagem, as it’s a cafe you do not want to miss during your time in Lisbon. Trust me. It’s a beautiful cafe with an amazing view of Lisbon. Keep in mind, if you’re looking to get some serious work done online, the WIFI can be a bit spotty. However, with its sweeping views of Lisbon, it’s definitely worth the trip to simply have a coffee and enjoy the view. Cafe da Garagem is probably one of the most beautiful cafes I’ve ever visited.
